Learn to Play Better Tennis

Private lessons are built around you and your game. Whether you're new to tennis, coming back after years away, or already playing regularly and looking to improve, we'll identify the areas that will make the biggest difference and work on them together. We'll build strong fundamentals, understand the mechanics behind your strokes, work on the shots that give you trouble, and develop a game you can trust when you step onto the court.

What to Expect

  • A Quick Assessment — We'll start by hitting and talking about your game, your experience and what you'd most like to improve. I'll also identify things I see that may be holding you back.
  • Clear, Simple Instruction — I try to keep coaching understandable and practical. We may work on one or two key changes rather than overwhelming you with ten different things at once.
  • Technical + Practical Work — Depending on your goals, lessons can include groundstrokes, serve, return, volleys, footwork, movement, point construction and match situations.
  • Focused Repetition — Once we identify something that needs work, we'll give you enough repetition to actually start making the new movement or pattern feel natural.
  • Something to Take With You — The goal is for you to leave each lesson knowing what improved, what you're working toward, and what you can continue practicing between lessons.

Why Choose Dad Tennis Lessons?

  • Coaching Built Around You — Every player is different. Lessons are shaped around your level, your goals, your strengths, and the parts of your game that need the most attention.
  • Fundamentals First — Good tennis starts with solid fundamentals. We'll work on technique, movement, spacing, preparation and contact so you're building a game that will hold up as you improve.
  • Understand Your Game — I don't just want to tell you what to do. I want you to understand why you're doing it, so you can recognize problems and make adjustments when you're playing on your own.
  • Practice What Actually Needs Work — If there's a particular ball, stroke or situation that keeps causing problems, we'll isolate it and work through it with focused drills and repetition.
  • Positive, Enjoyable Coaching — Getting better takes work, but tennis is still supposed to be fun. Dad Tennis is about learning in a relaxed, encouraging environment where mistakes are part of the process.
